we tend to rise up together in times of crisis and forget about the other problems that don't go away when other things come up.

i think that's what bothers me most about the whole solidarity thing... we think that because people are working together and helping each other out in regards to this particular problem, that suddenly *everything* is fixed. and it's really not.

this paper hates me. i don't know why i have no motivation... i planned to write the whole thing last night, but i couldn't even finish rereading the article. all i've got to do is finish an outline and i'll be home free, but i'm not at that point yet. and i've got two or three hours.
