Sep. 20th, 2001 09:25 pmsonya has a little prince backpack. backpack. with little prince on it. at first, i just saw that it said, 'le petit prince' on it, and then i saw the picture of the prince on his planet. and then! i saw little danglies sewn on to her backpack... they were SHEEP! she has a little prince backpack with SHEEP DANGLIES ON IT!
and no one understood my excitement about it. little prince! with sheep! ...::sigh::
lots of school today. i was getting annoyed with costume history because he kept telling us stuff that didn't make a lot of sense based on what i'd learned before. hmph. and i had everything i needed for acting, go me, and i got more homework that i'm going to remember to do. and then i went straight to gender/culture where we watched a movie on how women were treated differently before and after mao came to power, and talked about that for a while. the article i didn't read sounds interesting.
then i had 20 minutes for dinner before i had to go back to miller for gender/aesthetics. we watched the women. i swear, some of the actors in the performance i saw at arena stage looked exactly like their counterparts in the movie. it was great, but kind of... eh. we're going to have a lot to discuss, i think.
there isn't vancouver fencing on the 27th (it's alternate thursdays, and that's the week off), so i have to figure out how to get to seattle from portland. i need a teleporter.
guess what? it's my weekend. :) that makes thursdays completely worthwhile.
michael moore makes me happy. it's nice to know that there are articulate, high profile people out there who are expressing my opinions more effectively than i ever could. i think there's less compromise in his view of things than in mine, but we're not far off. thanks to
evan for linking his writing.
