Oct. 2nd, 2001 01:47 ami just read 'petronella' to my roommate. :) such a good story. the illustrations remind me of the beatles movie, though. same style - and of course it was written in the 70s, so it makes sense.
i need to read her 'the paper bag princess', too, but i don't have a copy of it. saa, is it an actual book? if not, i have the entry where you retold it in my memories. but it would be nice to have pictures.
and then she said, 'you know, you should read this book,' and pulled out a newish copy of 'hero and the crown.' i responded by pulling out my battered copies of that and 'the blue sword'. the best part of middle school was when they made us read hero and the crown in 7th grade. i already had parts of it memorized, i'd read it so many times.
