shadowsong: (angel in fire)
angels in america was very very good. i decided it was an excuse to dress up, so i was all sexy and stuff. i suppose technically the play didn't make all that much sense, seeing how it was the first half of the story, but i don't care. it was very good. i thought prior and roy were just a bit excessive, and the prior priors' wizard outfits were slightly tragic. but sarah as harper (and that other lawyer) was amazing, and wes as mr lies and belize was also good. the angel had that same tragic spangly fabric, which was sad. and eric, who was joe, was also very good.

almost everyone in the play is either mormon or gay, or both. and the book.... wow. at one point prior is hallucinating and sees a book on a pedestal. it opens to a page with a hebrew letter inscribed on it - can't remember what letter it is - which then starts burning. then the book closes and the lights go out. sooooo neat. the lighting was very good as well. the only problem i saw was that mr lies's face was shadowed in one scene.

apparently we were a good audience. this is good, because it means we got a good show. :) wish i could go again tomorrow, there were a bunch of scenes which were prior & louis and hannah & joe having similar arguments on different topics at the same time, and i lost most of the lines.

my butt muscles hurt from fencing. as do my shoulders and back. meh.

i get spaghetti squash for lunch tomorrow. :)

i had cheesecake for dinner. luckily i had a late lunch - i finally cooked the spaghetti squash. sooooo good. a bunch of people tried it and they all approved.
but yeah, there were two good things at dinner (clam chowder and possibly burritos) and they'd run out of both. and they ran out of vanilla ice cream as well, so i couldn't even have a rootbeer float.
kohan tonight, then strike then lots of party. hopefully i will be social enough to enjoy the party.
