Jul. 5th, 2002 09:58 pmworking in a fabric store may prove to be dangerous: i just bought a bunch of stuff, and i'll buy more tomorrow before the sale ends. i got a decent sized wooden chest for $12 (used to be 50) and i might buy another tomorrow. i got the tail end of a bolt of fabric, although i'm not sure what i'm going to do with it now that i know how little of it there is. i got a candle holder for aunt becca, and a lantern + stand for me (it can sit on the chest when i'm at pennsic), and some notions stuff - buttons to cover, a fabric pencil, some suede to make the bottom of a bag with (they're really elbow patches) and a thing with which to turn tubes and/or run cord through them. and i got samples of some decorator fabric... if i decide the stripes aren't too wide, it's going to be an elizabethan outfit. really pretty jacquard stripes, light and dark green with cream. the largest stripe is about 4 inches wide, the others are all 1 or 2. 2 large stripes, 2 small, and 4 1 inch before the pattern repeats, although half of that length looks like a complete pattern as well.
dad's back, but joel isn't. i guess i was wrong in assuming they were both in the same place. i wonder what joel's doing. dad's currently berating me for not taking care of the kitchen. oops.
one more day of work, then two days off. and i got a check today, 175 for a week of work.
