rek, if you haven't seen this, you MUST. not only is it good dancing and a good (not the usual) story, but it actually has content to it. there's a lot about sexuality and societal roles and violence/sexuality and masculinity. and there's so much tension between the prince and the swan/black swan.
oh and the swans are all male. matthew bourne's swan lake. find it and watch it. you'll never be satisfied with foofy, insipid ballet versions of swan lake again. it makes me wish i had another year so i could write about it for the gender symposium.
