so yeah, lj died, and then when it came back the school network went down for an hour or two. very frustrating. but i'm all caught up now, and am no longer getting withdrawal symptoms.
two group projects due thursday. for lighting, we have to do a <10 minute scene with just lights and objects and sounds. it'll be interesting figuring out a story, finding music that fits, and then figuring out how the hell to make the lights do what we want them to.
for the drama project, my group is pulling quotes out of all the plays we've read so far and rearranging related sets of quotes into scenes that sort of make sense. it's a good thing we're working on expressionism... as brecht once said when he was an expressionist, "if a story makes sense, it was badly told." we'll probably start our performance with that line. :)
for the past few weeks i've been randomly having panic that i'd missed my budget meeting. finally wrote the date and time on my door so i wouldn't forget. and as i came back from the trail room with dinner, i noticed cbc down the hall. this was about 2 hours after i'd missed my meeting. feh. rescheduled the meeting, but they were cranky at that point and probably weren't going to give me money anyway. need to work with stephan to draft up a gab proposal for next semester.
fencing's actually been going pretty well. we tend to end up with 7 people counting me, which is good because we don't have any more equipment than that. i'll be going over disengage parries and possibly hand parries next time.
