so there are a lot of things that i want to do with google maps, and probably can do with the google map standalone server. unfortuntately i have no clue how to do my own coding.

here's what i want someone either to do for me, or show me how to do: take the lists generated by the dealer search on the icom america website to generate a google maps database of locations. use this database to show me the 10 closest options when a zip code and division are entered into the search bar. i was able to about a third of what i wanted with a smaller list, but the other divisions are much bigger. here's what i've done so far:
on the dealer search page, select "all" and "avionics"
copy and paste the resulting info into the mygmaps list (maximum of ten) - 2 address lines into one address bar; company name, 2 address lines, phone number, email (if applicable), and product into description, separated with br tags
voila, a map of all the avionics dealers.
although i would like it to default to one tick zoomed out farther.

am i correct in assuming that i'd have to set up my own standalone server to do the rest of what i want, instead of using mygmaps? i know you can pull addresses and info off of other webpages every time a query is done - that's what the seattle 911 map and the craigslist housing map do, i think - but i only need it to do it once and then store that info.
