first, for shauna or similarly educated people:
what tunes were popular at that time and where can i find recordings of them? preferably ones commonly used in church but which can be arranged for small groups of musicians? (plucked/strummed string instrument, bowed string instrument, and wind instrument... that sort of thing.)
second, late late period costumers:
unless you know of a more appropriate religious order, what would spanish jesuits serving as coastal parish priests have worn? the same wrapped black cassock they wore a century later? what kind of cincture?
