yay, i finally got to impose my music on people! a cd ended, and kelly says, "we need music." and she hadn't managed to put in another cd by the time i had tori playing. so there. :) my next attempt will be melanie doane, cause kelly mentioned hearing a song and liking it. after that, gbs. without the trad stuff, of course.
no one complained, but i think it's just cause i made it clear enough how pissed off constantly listening to music i hated was making me (not that i actually said anything, i just turned up my headphones and projected my irritation), and they figured out the hypocrisy inherent in complaining about *my* music.

oh, btw, i found out how much my birthday present cd-clock-radio (which i used to play said tori) normally costs: $220! holy shit. witness my pricetag seizures. only not, cause i didn't actually pay that much. but the sheer idea that i own something that small, worth that much, is boggling.

food. food is good. shauna's parents are bad. willy trombone is funny. anyone know a password cracker for windows? :)

fencing tomorrow! if it rains, i will be very unhappy, and so will anyone else i can reach. ::glare::

i remembered to bring my fencing shirt, and i've pinned the cuff seam that i have to hand sew, and i might even work on it a bit.

i'm amused... playing tori has just made me *happy*! how often does that happen, eh?

hah. i got back from lunch, and kelly had found herself headphones. when i turned on melanie doane, she put them on and was listening to her music with much the same "i'm not going to say anything, i will be stoic" expression that i had yesterday.
i feel no guilt. in fact, i feel a sort of "payback time" glee. i dealt with her music for a month; damned if i'm going to feel sorry for her having to listen to my music for a few hours. turnabout's fair play...
no one else had any comments, except for the fiddle piece on mel doane's cd. and the only comment then was, "is this irish music?" and when i said no, it's celtic and canadian, larry and owen randomly sang the phrase "blame canada" every once in a while over the next five minutes. i like kelly less and less as i see more of how she reacts to things. it took me a *month* to get as irritated as she was being in the space of 30 minutes. and she'd already gotten to listen to her music on speakers for the rest of the time. i have absolutely no sympathy for her.
i feel much better now. and i listened to most of turn. i think four star mary is next.
