Jul. 19th, 2001 10:05 pmtoday was boring. marcellus couldn't take me to fencing, and while i could have gotten scott to drop me off, i wasn't sure i'd have a ride home, and i didn't feel like dealing. or spending money on dinner. so i just came home.
i didn't accomplish anything here, either.
went to the mall briefly, got another tongue bar. i'm still pissed about losing the three other ones i had, one of which i'd bought in scotland, and feeling vaguely uneasy about not having a spare should i ...i dunno, swallow one of the balls or something. so i got a new one, 14 gauge, but they said it would fit anyway.
i actually went to the mall to look for jeans, and i found a style/pair that fit - express relaxed fit 7/8s. except they don't make them any more, and the only 7/8 they had was a long, not a short. suck. all the other jeans i tried on were 'low rise'... which meant they fit perfectly in the front and came up to my belly button, and dipped almost down to my crack in the back, with a 3" gap. dammit. :P
so if anyone happens to stop by an express and find a pair of 7/8 short relaxed jeans, buy 'em for me and i'll reimburse you. they're clearance, so they're about $20. some day, i swear, i will own a pair of pants that fit.
my dress fits. and doesn't look all that flattering. it's waistbands that give me the illusion of a waist, i think... the dress reveals that i have a cylindrical (as opposed to tapered) torso. bah.
i don't particularly dislike my body, i just wish i could find clothes that fit it, and looked vaguely flattering.
maybe i'll actually cut my shirt pieces tonight.
i got bored, so i looked up the quick intro to vampire: the masquerade. it makes slightly more sense now than it did before, but not much.
i wish i were in seattle.
