Aug. 1st, 2001 05:36 pmsam didn't show up today. cindy's son (i think) was in the hospital recovering from surgery, so she wasn't at work either. carlos stopped in every once in a while, but other than that and lydece (who's mostly deaf, and tends to ignore what she *can* hear), we were on our own. and there wasn't any work for us to do. scott stopped by with something to fix, which i did, but other than that, i napped. it was very nice. i had to work for about two hours at the end of the day, when some new mail came in, but that was it.
tonight i'm supposed to go to the reading class. :P and lyell asher says he doesn't allow credit/no credit in his class, nor does he allow people to audit the class (ie watch but not be registered for the class). suck. so now i have to figure out whether i think he's a good enough teacher to make it worthwhile for him to kill my gpa (he's a hard grader) for an elective.
the camp layout for pennsic, other than the fact that we're next to the highway (truckers find it amusing to blare their horns at 3am) and we have a 5 person camp practically in the middle of our camp, seems to be pretty good. too bad troy couldn't talk to the people in time to get us a good section, though.
i'll try to finish cutting fabric tonight. at least the gold. i'm toying with not making the sleeves for the lavender and gold yelek, which would save me some time (they're going to be detachable), but i think it's one of the prettiest parts. oh, well. 9 days left.
