adam in my acting class looks like brent, the fencer at st andrews. keith, a frosh who's interested in debate, reminds me very strongly of calum. only without the sexy accent.

i've made progress on unpacking. unfortunately, i also got the rest of my stuff in the mail today, so i've got three more boxes to unpack, and it's just gotten worse.

going to the metro cafe. caitlin said she'd buy me dinner. she rocks. :) and cristina got her tongue pierced because one of her friends (or her sister? can't remember) was going to as well, so cris beat her to it. and practically fainted. i'm sooo not surprised. she can be flaky sometimes, but i think that's part of her charm. apparently she loves nabokov (i gave her bend sinister out of mom's old books) specifically, as well as russian authors in general.

very lazy day.... apparently if i try to take qualitative reasoning, quantitative reasoning, and social theory all in the same semester, i will end up in a mental hospital. time to find another plan. but i can do an independent study for the other 200 level course, so i might try doing that instead of social theory. goldman says that doing both methods courses in one semester will be hard but that i'll probably get more out of both of them. and that he wished more people will try it. i'm hoping he didn't mean that in a sadistic way. the india course was the only area study i was interested in, and there are no definite plans to teach it again any time soon, due to lack of a teacher. so i'll have to decide which of the others (latin america, east asia, china, japan) is least uninteresting. need to make an appointment with bruce to talk about independent study and such, and with stephen weeks about a theatre minor.

bleh. too much stuff.
