and if rain brings winds of change, let it rain on us forever...
-vnv nation, solitary

that's been stuck in my head for a while.
didn't accomplish much today - practiced my scene with cecelia, went to dinner, wrote my interview questions. i desperately need to finish editing erin's paper. i think that's the only really urgent thing. present in gender/culture on monday, movie log for tuesday, final draft of 10 things paper on wednesday.

oh, right. that's what i did today: dan emailed me with his phone number. it was such a cute email, too... i've never gotten one of those before. so i called him and we talked for an entire phone card. he's fun. and i would so never want to date him. but he has a sexy overcoat. he thinks of fun things like how to make functioning lightsabers that don't kill everyone in a 60 meter radius from radiation poisoning. and how you change things by observing them, and you can never really see the back of your head. or your face.

but mostly i did nothing. ate yummy food for my second dinner and ended up very full (stephanie and cabel made italian food), and played age of empires with amelia. and i get to sleep in cory's room because celia is snoring and i woke her up so much last night. mostly because i was pissed that it was 2am and she'd left the door locked when she went to sleep. grr. i like my bed.

i got a response! ::bounces:: it looks like i asked the wrong questions some times, but i still got some pretty interesting answers. i'll have to get him to expand on the ones that weren't what i was expecting. but! response! i'll actually have interviews to write about in my paper! ::dances::

also, matt's mom took me out to dinner. i like her. :) and now i have leftover pad thai.

so... does anyone know what the hell 'the red balloon' means? it's a short french film from '56 about a boy and a red balloon. thus the name. but i have no idea what the balloon is supposed to symbolize.
