on thursday night, we decided to see lord of the rings at some unspecified place this afternoon. scott was going to do transportation.
then i discovered that the only time i could see andy was right before the movie. so then andy was going to pick me up, and scott was going to pick me up from andy's for the movie.
also, i was supposed to wake up at 10 today and call the shoe repair place, and then clean the bathroom before andy got here.

i woke up at 1. mom didn't even come downstairs to wake me up because i was being lazy like i expected her to. called andy, he's swamped with work and cleaning and can't come get me. he *might* have time to talk to me if i can get myself there.

i don't have any word from anyone involved in the movie thing as to when and where it is. i'm not sure i have current phone numbers for marcellus and belphoebe, and david, who does have current info, i just got an answering machine for.

i ended up calling scott and cancelling his part of it, since at this point i'm not sure that anything is happening, and if it does, i'll have a car. i felt bad - he originally wanted to spend the day going to museums, but that was definitely more time than i had. and now we're not doing anything.

haven't even gone in the bathroom, let alone cleaned it. i have to clean up all the sewing stuff before i leave. i have to pack. i have to make dinner on sunday. and i'm leaving early monday morning.

i meant to post this back when i had my acting final.. it's a line from someone else's scene, from 'night mother'. the play is between a mother and her grown epileptic daughter. the daughter has decided that she's going to commit suicide.

mother: if you've got the guts to kill yourself, you have the guts to stay alive.
jessie: i know that. so really it's just a matter of where i'd rather be.

that made me think. i didn't come to any conclusions, but still. it's an interesting way of looking at it.


movie has been planned. somehow the phone was off the hook all morning - at least two people tried to call. as soon as andy gets back i'm going to head out. if i leave by 3.30 everything should work - either i'll get a half hour to talk to him, or if he's too busy i'll just go to belphoebe's and meet up with everyone else.

mom says that she'll pay for plane tickets and part of the registration fee if i want to come back here in march for the dei liberi seminar. dei liberi was the fencing master of the dukes of ferrara in italy around 1410. the problem is that andy's road tripping to seattle that week. and i don't have any break from school until the end of march. and i would be very unhappy if andy visited the west coast and i was *still* on the other side of the country. if only i could get her to pay for pennsic instead...

i think mom just wants me to come home again this summer. :P i've got nicholas's wedding mid-june and pennsic mid-august, but i'd really rather stay in seattle for the part in the middle.

so i didn't get to see andy - he got back just as i was leaving for the movie. :(
i discovered that you can't see the movie theater from gallows rd heading north. so i got to gallows and lee highway and went 'uhhhhh' and turned in a random direction. but i found the theater.
got there just before the trailers started, and discovered that the four people i was meeting up with (delphina, catalina, marcellus, belphoebe) were in a row with no extra seats. so i had to sit in front of them.
the sound system wasn't fucked up this time, which made it better. however, i'd read one of the lj links to someone who wrote the characters' secret diaries as if they were all trying to get in each other's pants, so i kept laughing at the sad parts.

also, i *told* you (you being catalina and delphina) that there wasn't anything about 'look, i'm the lady of the lake! i mean woods!' or monty python in the 2hr spoof of lord of the rings. that was all me. so there.

i was going to stop by andy's house anyway and leave alice some chocolate, but i forgot. that is very sad.

haven't eaten yet today (except a handful of popcorn and some milk duds) so i'm going to go find a cow. or something.
