well, i got locked out of my room today, and it was entirely not my fault. i didn't take everything out of the last pair of jeans i wore, so my new key was still in the coin pocket of those. no biggie, i never lock my door.
i got back from t&d to discover my door was, in fact, locked. managed to find someone in their room and called campo, and sat down to wait. i had homework i could do, but it was all on the other side of the door. fifteen minutes later (starting at noon, and i have class at 12.40), they finally showed up. i discovered that my initial thought was correct: maintenance had stopped by to fix the trim on my bookshelf, and thoughtfully locked the door behind them. despite the fact that it wasn't locked when they went in.

went to social theory without having read the material, but i was no more lost than usual. came back and discovered my door was locked *again*. maintenance had stopped by again to make sure the glue had set, and clean up after themselves. luckily i'd gotten my key.

MY HARD DRIVE WORKS!$%(*#$^@
matt hooked up the new power supply and messed with it for a while, and it even sees all 37some gigs. :) it's got a partition in the hopes that i'll be able to transfer the os over to that drive, because it's much faster than my old one. but it works! ::dances:: i've already transfered my music and pics folders over, and when i get back i'm going to start ripping all my cds to mp3. any ideas for good programs to use? tobey suggested cdez. or something like that.

my left shoulder hurts. i'm assuming it's from fencing, although i can't imagine why. i only had to fight left handed for two or three bouts, and only used dagger with one person. hardly strenuous. my right shoulder is fine.

the drive to seattle was uneventful. and as i'm still underage, chris has abandoned me at aurafice while he has fun at the merc. ::sobs:: as you can see, i'm so mistreated. he even left me meep. :)

backrub? pleeease?

i've decided to just assume that gorgets will be $65 each (as from anshelm arms, who i know does good stuff), and if i can get them for less, get a buckler or dagger or something. this is such an expensive endeavour, almost $400 for each set of gear, and i'm planning on getting 8. ::crosses fingers:: i was talking to regina - must remember not to bash olympic fencing or she'll get upset - while matt was making my computer work, and she brought up the possibility that gab might think i'd be better as a part of the gaming club. that would be bad. they're fantasy and boffer and rpgs. which is all well and good, but is hardly the same as history and steel.

anyway. chris is back, the merc got too crowded.
