Feb. 16th, 2002 01:25 amwe watched 'princess and the warrior' and 'lost and delirious'. now i want to sleep with girls.
also, paulie is a very angsty and melodramatic teenager. it'd be cheesy except it's realistic - i know people like that, and i was like that.
flying was also a common theme - bodo says in the beginning of 'princess' that he's warming up to fly, and they come back to that later in the movie. and then there's that lovely final shot of the hawk in 'lost'. i'm trying to avoid actually saying what happens, because it's not all that obvious.
franka potente spent a lot of 'princess' flat on her back. geez. and none of it naked. bodo looked a lot like both joseph fiennes and guy pearce, only less cute. and the jackoff guy looked like someone who got a kennedy center honor recently... a young anthony hopkins? they showed a promo shot of him (in the kencen honors) peeking around a door saying,' heeeere's johnny!' but i don't know what movie it's from.
i have a feeling that the director doesn't like men, unless they're native american gardeners. however, the native american gardener was very good. funny but natural about it - he was obvious comic relief, but like paulie's melodrama, it seemed realistic. however, i see that the actor is now starring in 'snow dogs'. i no longer have respect for him. :P but he was also in the green mile...
ah, i love imdb. :)
but yeah. there was midnight breakfast, but i didn't want to put my shoes on and then people were being noisy implying that breakfast had ended, so i just came back to my room. and i'm very very sleepy. i'm ecstatic about this whole 'weekend' thing, even if i do have a paper due monday.
