went to dinner with matt and his mom. however, either the leather smell of her car or the omelette i had for breakfast made my stomach rather sketchy, and i wasn't able to eat very much of my dinner. made it back here in time to not have had any dinner at all, without making a mess. however, i did bring home the majority of the burrito, so i can try again.

fencing today went okay, except it took me 20 minutes to get my food, so i ran out of time to prepare. i think i babbled a lot. i think people should rather be in the wednesday practice, because i'll have tried everything once already by then.

fencers, help me out: what's the step called where you do an inside or outside change while turning 90 degrees?
i think i have compass and slope paces right: compass pace, you step to the outside with your back foot and pivot to the inside. slope pace you step to the inside and pivot to the outside. (inside = front, outside = back)

and i realized while looking for the instructions for our project proposals (due tuesday) that i had a short response to commedia due in class tomorrow. oops. but i finished, and even managed to talk about jay and silent bob strike back. much fun. so, have to find instructions for the proposal tomorrow, and then tuesday i have to do most of my midterm paper. it's due friday, but i have fencing and game wednesday, and fencing again thursday. also i need to do laundry very very badly.

i talked about it because i saw it yesterday. damn funny movie. too bad i still haven't seen clerks.

need to read marx. blah.

1 out of every 4 babies in America dies of CHOICE
-seen in someone's sig on a mailing list.

i would be interested to see how that statistic compares with how many women are raped out of all women in america. not that the numbers would be directly related, but the juxtaposition would be at least a little noteworthy. and somehow the statistic on abortions seems... well, pulled out of his ass.

also, i hate being here (at work) when none of the other students are around... since erick is still out, john's in charge. and he never gives me any real work to do. the last time i asked, he told me to take out the trash.

mm, tea. i like tea. dryer is wussy so i had to spend another $1.50 to put my clothes in for another cycle. need to wash sheets too, and i discovered a pile of clothes on the chair that i hadn't noticed when i was gathering up the rest of my clothes.

a third of my 4 page paper is done. well, three pages and an annotated bibliography. those things are evil. i'll be up till 3am, probably.

[livejournal.com profile] slit and anyone else who feels like commenting, my field notes are in [livejournal.com profile] shadowsinger. there's not much there yet, but i've got a few questions already. if you can think of more semi related ones, or answers, let me know. eventually i'll be posting a poll, and i would appreciate it if all my link-happy friends could make it a meme for me. i've got about 400,000 users to reach here. :)

i'm not procrastinating, i swear. also, wesley's not dead.
