so apparently the queen mother died.


omsi (oregon museum of science and industry) was pretty good, although i hate getting through an exhibit and realizing that i have no idea where anyone else is. i guess i have abandonment issues.
the python was gorgeous, and the rats (not the python's dinner rats) were sooo cute. i haven't seen an adult rat in a while - they were big. and one of them had ruffled fur, absolutely adorable. and they were all really friendly too. one of the bearded lizards appeared to like me as well, it wandered around its cage trying to follow me.
we had dinner at a chinese buffet and i stuffed myself till i almost got nauseous. they had really good oysters, and different kinds of egg rolls, and a little bit of sushi, and jodi's favorite - garlic green beans. the egg flower soup was really good as well. and they had these custard things that were also yummy. must go back. people are thinking of going to the mongolian grill tonight, which would also be fun.

i watched jon and keith play warcraft 3, then i got a big long backrub from keith, then we all watched family guy. not too fond of it, but it was funny. then i got a backrub from matt. i need to talk to him. also i need to make sure keith isn't going to make me a substitute for kit.

i just showered, am all clean and stuff. i need to interview someone for my lj ethnography via im today... who will i be able to get in touch with? i'm looking for slit, lie2me, skreidle, idoru, matthew_g, rekling, voodoolimbo, nighthawk, justira, or burgundy, i think. (ie people i won't be able to see in person.) if you are one of these people and would like to talk today or tomorrow, let me know. my im names are in my userinfo. also more info on the project is in shadowsinger.

oh dear gods. i just got back from the mongolian grill and i think i exploded. we all practically rolled ourselves back to the car. very very good. lots of garlic and ginger on everything. tricia's new haircut is adorable.

i have two interviews so far; now i just need to figure out what's involved in an interview write up other than a transcript of the conversation. there's much less to deal with given that i'm not talking in person.

to those participating in the interviews: let me know if you don't want me to log your answers verbatim. feel free to not answer any particular question. and yes, you can read my paper afterwards.

also, i might be including excerpts from people's journal entries. i will let you know if this is the case, and ask permission for each excerpt.
