Mar. 6th, 2003 07:00 pmwell, that was fun. dropped a 50ft ladder on myself, very exciting. it was hard enough getting it up without dropping it, but i realized as it picked up speed that there was no way in hell to lower it safely with just two people. so i put an arm up and pushed, and ducked out of the aisle and into the seats. i might have wrenched my shoulder (still have enough adrenaline that i can't tell) and something hit my cheek but i'm not sure if it was the ladder or some other part of me.
there was something else i was going to say here but i forgot. moving right along.
update: not the thing, but a thing... the whole group of us whedon-watching folk missed angel last night and we are all very sad.
two midterms today. i was the first person to turn in my t&d test, 10 minutes before class ended. i wasn't really done, i was just at the point where i was considering answering the question "name four details about büchner's life" with "he was abducted by aliens at a young age." i probably got a b or low a on the lighting test, god only knows what i got on the t&d test. it's only 10% of my grade, i keep telling myself. i think i did well on the essay questions, though.
so yeah, most of the lights in evans are focused, and at least there aren't any dark spots on stage. and no one died. so that's all good. i walked home in the rain, carrying my jacket, and i'm still too warm. and damp.
stark's supposed to be showing up or calling soon... he left around 3.30, 4ish, but expected to be here around 6, so when i said i had to focus lights and wouldn't be done till 7, he said he'd call at the border and visit relatives if i wasn't back. but i'm back, and there's no message, and i don't think his cell's on. hopefully something innocuous happened.
to do:
schoolwork - revised proposal, revised survey, print bibliography, write yoga journal, write <4 pages for take home t&d test
other stuff - put away laundry, pack for seattle, attempt to pick up tent from leeny
stark
further update: adrenaline must be wearing off, starting to feel a bruise coming in on my right forearm.
