skipped quant, i'm a bad person. we were supposed to go survey today and i really didn't want to do that in the rain. still haven't finished my homework for that class either.
turns out that it's just that my cd rom drive is crappy (who would have thought? oh, right.... me) and the song burned just fine. so there's one thing i don't have to do. :)
fell asleep during the 10-minute relaxation in yoga. the teacher says she's always proud when she loses people like that, cause it means they're relaxed. amelia falls asleep during even the 2-minute relaxation, it's rather amusing.
fencing tonight. don't know how many people will show up cause it's "take back the night" night. i do have a non-college student showing up. it would be nice if david would show up, too. if he's doing tbtn stuff i'll probably end up going to jodi's to watch angel. mmm, willow.

so yeah, homework. need to start sending in job applications, too. i'm going to try and substitute teach when i get back east, since school will still be in session. and we'll most likely be spending 3 weeks of july in scotland, if we fly in after joel's school trip ends on the 5th. so i should be back in seattle by august. need to send my resume to pnta so i can do that when i come back.

the tombstones got spraypainted last night. the one that used to say "rip brave soldiers" now says "rip iraqi soldiers". my first thought was "what, so the american soldiers don't get to rest in peace and instead have to wander the earth as angry spirits?"

time for fencing. someone said we just declared war... are they right, or did we just pass the zero hour?

fencing was cool, 5 other people there including one scadian. i smell bad.

pet peeve: baited breath. it's *bated* breath, folks. you haven't been eating chum, you are holding back your breath. bated blades are blunted and possibly tipped with something, and thus held back from being deadly. the oed says that bated means "Lowered or lessened in position, amount, force, estimation, etc.; esp. in bated breath: breathing subdued or restrained under the influence of awe, terror, or other emotion."
if you have baited breath, i would suggest a breath mint.

so we're at war. my question is no longer "should we or shouldn't we", it's "will we ever be done?" oh, not with iraq. we siege baghdad and it'll end eventually. but i have a feeling that bush will finally take the argument of "iraq isn't the only country with wmd it shouldn't have" to heart and move on to the next country on his hit list.
