(no subject)

This survey is part of a research project for my Quantitative Methods class, and is an extension (and proof) of all the stuff I talked about in my thesis. Please, take the survey and pass on the link to this entry. I need responses! Graduating is a good thing!

I will not be mentioning any names in my paper (unless, of course, you really want credit). Your individual responses will stay private. I will, however, post the general survey results, once they've all been put together, so watch this space in a few weeks and feel free to pass on the results when you see them.

Notes and clarifications:
-Online means stuff involving the internet. Offline means stuff involving actual physical people.
-If you have more than one journal, please respond only with your primary journal, but taking into account your LiveJournal use in general, not just with this username.
-For the first 11 questions, you will probably need to look at the bottom of your full User Info page, found here. Log in if it tells you to, and it'll take you to your userinfo page once you've done that.
-Please try to give numeric answers to the text box questions, preferably straight numbers instead of percentages.
-If you answer "other" to a question, please email or comment with an explanation.
-If you're having a hard time coming up with a numeric answer to "How many of your offline friends have LiveJournals", please respond with one of these options: none, a few, some, many, most of my offline friends, everyone.
-On the "which of these is worse" question about people from one medium finding you in the other, consider these options added, and either comment or email if you chose one of them: "both of the above would be good things" or "i wouldn't care either way".
-If any other question has a response that seems to be missing, please mention it in a comment (or email) and give me the answer you would have selected.

(no subject)

i'm beginning to think that maybe i haven't screwed myself over by not getting the survey up until 3 weeks before the paper was due.... in the 2 hours since i posted it, i've gotten 5 responses. and that's the 2 hours between 4 and 6 am. whee! i've been coding while i go and it's been interesting seeing how many questions *everyone* disagrees with me on. :) obviously you're all LYING! (talk show joke, sorry.)

on the other hand, i have screwed my sleep schedule by staying up to work on this. the fact that i *could* stay up to work on this was a sign that i'd finally fixed it, too. aren't i so smart. since i have to be up in less than three hours, i'm going to stay up, too, which i'm sure will be great fun. class surveying from 10-1, fencing from 2-4, and attempting to do two quant assignments, a performance review, and a shit ton of seminar papers instead of dying for the rest of the day.

i promise i'll do a con report eventually. if you don't see it by friday, remind me. :)

it's been pouring off and on for the past several days, so it smells absolutely gorgeous outside. crisp and soft and green. i read my signed copy of the gypsy during intermissions, so now i have double vision and fairy tale logic stuck in my brain. i rather like it.
