there were a bunch of things i was going to write about and i can't remember what any of them are.

con (which was several weeks ago, now) was good and i think i may have finally recovered from it. had fun wandering around in costume with stark, and i went "eee!" like a little girl the first time someone called me sir hellsing. i was definitely in the better half of the chiis out there as well. we saw the webcomics panel, in which i discovered that gabe and tycho look nothing like their characters but act similar, and that fred gallagher is even more gloomy than piro. it was hilarious. tycho threatened to strangle stark with his microphone cord at one point, if i recall correctly.
cosplaying was fun and people really seemed to enjoy it. i almost ruined everything by resetting the alarm incorrectly which made stark miss the mandatory meeting for all skit groups, but the guy playing the random otaku showed up to the meeting and saved our asses. random otaku didn't know the first thing about acting, however, and upon getting on stage he forgot what he was supposed to say, turned his back to the audience, and even wandered off stage at one point. everyone else, however, kicked ass. we won the "wizard of oz" judges' choice award, presumably because harry could have conceivably said, "gee, i don't think i'm at hogwarts any more, toto" and it would have fit in the script. and the giant bear from akira won a judges' choice award for costuming.
there was some drama that is only mostly resolved that i am no longer going to go into detail here about.
the good and the bad just barely balanced out on the good side, and the bad things are getting less important as time goes on, so looking back on it the whole thing was rather fun. i got a chii doll, had lots of pictures taken of me, and got to soak in a hot tub.

more recently, i discovered that grad tickets are all gone, and i have 4 people planning to come who don't have tickets. any lc people have a spare or two they can give me?

i got the easy senior project to do lighting for, since the lights don't change at all during the performance itself, at least as far as i know. and, i don't have to do the rest of the lighting homework since it's specific to the lighting for bread, which i'm not doing. yay!

i have three quant homework assignments to finish, and about 8 seminar papers that i haven't done for t&d. speaking of t&d, stepan's laptop was stolen during our last class. that's the second or third faculty member who's had a laptop stolen recently, and someone stole several of the display laptops from the computer room, too. makes me happy that my lovely expensive monitor is heavy as fuck.

my sleep schedule is sort of during normal hours, finally, but i sleep for at least 10-12 hours every night, and for every hour under that i'm able to sleep, i fall asleep an hour earlier the next night. last night i fell asleep around 7, woke up between midnight and 3, and went back to sleep till 8. i hope i can stay awake long enough to do my homework tonight, since i slept instead of doing it yesterday.

the non-overdue homework i have to do includes coding all three hundred responses to my survey (which has 31 questions), writing a paper about said survey, teching kate's senior project, studying for the cumulative t&d final which i am so going to fail because i've read maybe half of the material, doing the t&d take home final, and doing a group performance that i might have a group for but almost certainly don't have any clue what we're going to perform.

it was just stephan at fencing, so we sparred. a lot. i only managed to hold out for 45 minutes before i gave up because my motor control was rapidly fading. i wish i could say the reason he got so many kills in on me is because i was teaching and not trying my hardest... but i'm out of practice, and he catches on quickly. in retaliation, i'm putting him in charge of the group next year.

now i smell funny and really need to eat dinner before i go to light tech.... which is a problem, because dinner starts at 4.45, tech starts at 5, and it takes 10 minutes to get from one to the other.

halfway through two of the homeworks, haven't started the third (but that's the one that isn't overdue yet).
