Sep. 6th, 2003 09:19 pmwell, i put my keyboard back together and it still didn't work, so i decided to go out and get the keyboard i've always wanted. so now i have a cordless ergonomic keyboard and cordless optical mouse. the mouse is basically a remote control cause i like my corded optical mouse better. and! the keyboard has no insert key! i mean it *does*, but it's up with scroll lock and print screen. i took the key off of my other keyboard, but i don't have to do that with this one. :) it's kind of expensive, but i'd rather spend the extra money on something i really want now, instead of spending less money on something i don't really want, and then still spending the extra money on the good keyboard later.
the only problem with it so far is that the home and end keys aren't where i'm used to them being. but other than that i like it a lot.
i didn't do much today, just spent a lot of time lazing around. i discovered that craigslist has job listings, so i'll be looking through that more thoroughly. yesterday i realized that i have no idea what sort of thing is supposed to go in the objective section of my resume, so i spent a while dicking around with that. most of them just sound like complete bullshit, and i can't do that for some reason. if anyone knows what i should put down for an objective on my "generic office job" resume, let me know.
i went to the farmers market on tuesday. it was neat. :) little, but full of vegetables. i spent $.25 at one stall. i didn't know you could actually buy something for that little anymore! it was very exciting. and i refrained from buying blackberries (because i don't have pastry supplies, so i can't make a pie) and olive rosemary bread (because it was $4 and i didn't really need it). also i now have a seattle library card. still need a king county one, though. i need to get a washington driver's license and consolidate my loans. there's a bank of america in walking distance, so that's probably where i'll go, but i need to find all my paperwork first.
