gah, rrgh, where's andy? people shouldn't have lives when i want to talk to them. boo.

i keep looking at the (autographed) ring of steel poster on the wall, and noticing how psychotic jack looks, and how much like lilah the evil wolfram&hart lawyer on angel the chick whose name i've forgotten looks. and how incongruous the wavy blond hair looks on robert chapin, who is barechested, holding a rapier vertically in front of his face, with a bloody scratch on his right cheek. :) but jack has damn cool pants. big and japaneseish and skirtlike.

another train ride, another prerecorded journal entry. not that i have anything in particular to say, but still.
dawn was at work the whole time i was at her house, as well as during fencing, which was why she wasn't in the list of people who were there. justin, her husband, was the one who cleared the computer innards off my bed (the guest room is also the the puter room. i like puters.) and gave me cold pizza and coffee and drove me to the train station. we actually started out an hour early, but figured it out just as we got offbase, so we just went all the way around the roundabout and went back to his house to get more coffee. i took a nap on the sofa. the night before i tried to make a reservation at the glasgow youth hostel, but i never got a confirmation. i checked this morning and they still had beds, so i should be okay. i'm going to be so glad when i get back to glasgow and can redistribute all my stuff, and maybe even send some of it home. need to send donna's cd, too. i have her address finally, it's a start.
i'm having a sudden flash of panic that my luggage got off the train while i wasn't looking. i'll have to go check once all the people getting on find seats.
when i was in london using the underground, it was weird going through all those places that i'd read about (in all different books, but mostly neil gaiman's 'neverwhere'), but for some reason it was going through angel station that really got to me.
okay, i checked and it's still there. i feel better, if a little silly.
time to go back to sleep.

well, the obnoxiousamericantourists who sat right in front of me all the way from york to edinburgh are finally gone, and it's much quieter now.
it's been pretty uneventful... there might have been events, but if there were, i slept through them. i noticed much more the difference in landscape as i went from england to scotland, though. i could see some of it going from glasgow to huntingdon, but it was odd to look up around 3.00 and have things look familiar. england's just so... flat. lowland scotland insn't particularly mountainous either, but there's still a definite difference in what's growing and how much water is around.
tina laughed at me in tower records when i saw indigo girls 4.5, which is a european 'best of' release. i had such a shocked expression. i didn't get the cd, though, cause i already had all the songs and it was almost full price, so there was no way i could justify it. i'm not such a fan that i need to have every album ever released. i was considering getting a rem maxi cd for erin (from lc) who *is* that big of a fan of rem - most are european and about 4£. but she probably already has all of them.
okay, time to go back to sleep until i get to glasgow. and make sure my suitcase is still there.
