Apr. 5th, 2002 01:36 amargh. it really annoys me when guys leave the lid up in the stall RIGHT NEXT TO THE URINALS. ::sigh::
so i think i discovered why this fencing practice makes me upset: it's at night. i have a feeling that most of my problems - range, for example - would go away if i could actually see my opponent's blade. we fight outside, and the light is shitty, and tonight i realized how uncomfortable it makes me. even if there was good light, as long as it's dark outside, the lights glare against the mask, making it hard to see. i only fought robin today, and there was one particular trick he pulled, moving the tip back and forth quickly while advancing. just before he stabbed me, i realized that if i could actually *see*, he would be so dead. feh. i'm probably going to continue only fencing once per practice, until it gets summer enough that it's light for part of the practice. if i'm still here.
doing pretty good with schoolwork. although i have to read the rest of the moliere plays so i can write a paper by wednesday. i want to go to seattle this weekend, but i don't have crash space. anyone have ideas? i'm amenable to floors, if that's all i can get.
note to self: ask evan if he'll be around this weekend so i can interview him. also any other seattle folk who wish to give me an hour or so of their time.
and now i shall try to go to sleep (relatively) early. i've been dead tired all day, please don't let me get energetic now.
